Codecs
We highly recommend using H.264 video codec over Apple ProRes. Check here how to compress a video.
What is the difference?
H.264 is a popular standard for high definition digital video, and for good reason. A codec based on the H.264 standard compresses a digital video file so that it only uses half the space of MPEG-2 (the DVD standard), to deliver the same quality video. This means you can enjoy stunning HD video the way it was meant to be seen without sacrificing speed or performance.
Meanwhile ProRes Apple is a line of intermediate codecs, which means they are intended for use during video editing, and not for practical end-user viewing. The benefit of an intermediate codec is that it retains higher quality than end-user codecs while still requiring much less expensive disk systems compared to uncompressed video. This means that Pro Res can be 10 times (or more) bigger than H.264.
Pro Res Apple is mainly used for editing, you can correct color, add titles and effects, etc. without losing the quality of the clips. H.264 is used mainly as a delivery codec.
Bitrate refers to the number of bits used per unit of playback time to represent a continuous medium such as audio or video. At the moment the maximum is 1080p HD.
Regarding resolution the maximum supported resolution by VIDELLO is 1080p.
Frame rate (expressed in frames per second or FPS) is the frequency (rate) at which consecutive images called frames are displayed in an animated display. We recommend to make the video smaller and faster because of that you should use a frame rate up to 30.
